I have always heard my mom tell stories about my grandmother preparing delicious dishes everyday. And from her stories I understood that my grandmother spent most of her time cooking something or the other. May it be breakfast, lunch or evening snacks, she prepared all of them at home. But things have changed now, we prefer instant foods but yummy ones or we prefer ordering foods from outside. But home foods always have a better side than the restaurant foods. It’s not just about maintaining hygiene but it’s also about the love that adds on to the taste of the food. We always prefer the best of all, when it comes to our family!
Ghee is a versatile food ingredient which is widely used in India. Years ago ghee was a basic cooking oil which was always available in the kitchen. It was usually pure grass-fed cow ghee made at home. Even now most of the Indian families use ghee in their daily diet, which is usually homemade or even store bought. You can also buy organic ghee at our online store. Visit our website https://sureshfoods.com/ to know more. Ghee has a special place when it comes to preparation of sweets. It is also used to spread ghee over chapattis, parathas or rotis; it is drizzled over rice and even tempered over dals. The role of ghee in Indian recipes goes on and on.
I will share an easy recipe of ghee rice which can be easily made within 30-40 mins. Ghee rice brings an essence of richness and amazing flavour. Besides bold aroma and an amazing taste enhancer ghee has a lot of benefits when used for daily consumption. Ghee has high smoke point which makes it the most essential cooking oil. Ghee produces much less acrylamide, a toxic component when heated. As it has stable saturated bonds it is less likely to form dangerous free radicals when heated. Thus, you can cook and fry any food, with organic ghee in your day-to-day diet. It can be stored for a longer period of time, say about 3 months with regular usage. If brought in huge quantity you can take smaller quantities in a separate jar and store the rest in refrigerator for about 8-10 months. Just remember that you don’t let any moisture content enter the jar. Store it in a dry and dark place in your kitchen which doesn’t need refrigeration for about 3 months.
